The recently introduced Anubis map in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s competitive pool defies a long-standing trend in which counter-terrorist teams typically achieve more victories.
Traditionally, defending bomb sites is considered easier than attacking, resulting in a slight advantage for counter-terrorist forces. For example, on Dust2, special forces won 50.9% of matches, while terrorists claimed 49.1%. On Nuke, counter-terrorist teams won 54.2% of games.
However, Anubis challenges this norm, with terrorists winning 51.5% of the time. Developers may still make adjustments to restore the slight advantage to special forces.
